TBS Group was founded in 1989 by three former military comrades — Mr. Nguyen Duc Thuan, Mr. Cao Thanh Bich, and Mr. Nguyen Thanh Son. Starting from a small garment workshop in Binh Dương, the Group has, over more than 30 years of development, grown into one of Vietnam’s leading industrial fashion manufacturing corporations.
With faith in the intelligence and capabilities of the Vietnamese people, for more than thirty years, my team and I have built and developed TBS Group, demonstrating the potential of our nation's industry on the international market.
I was born into a family of educators in Thai Binh. As a child, witnessing the hardships and difficulties faced by my country and hometown, I always had a deep desire to do something that could help my homeland grow prosperous and stand shoulder to shoulder with the world's leading nations.
When I grew up, still carrying those childhood aspirations and determination, after training in the military, I diligently studied to prepare myself for the future, aiming to build and contribute to our nation's economy.
After leaving the military, together with Mr. Bich, Mr. Son, and my comrades, we began to “attack” the economic front with the bold idea and plan to establish and develop a footwear company. That "child" later became one of the largest manufacturing companies in Vietnam with an international scale.
In September 1992, the first manufacturing plant named Thai Binh Shoes was licensed to operate. We were thrilled as the dreams of us founders were gradually coming true. With extensive experience and steadfast determination forged in the military environment, we had a solid foundation to start building Thái Bình Shoes Group. Together with comrades and colleagues, we steadily brought TBS Group closer to the ambition of expanding Vietnam’s industry onto the global stage.
Carrying the ideal of a patriotic enterprise, we have led TBS Group to grow steadily, much like the familiar image of the bamboo tree of Vietnam. With its vigorous vitality, steadfast development, and strong resilience, the bamboo tree has been imbued into the very symbol of our company’s brand. The green bamboo represents the boundless national pride shared by myself personally and all passionate members of TBS Group in general.
After more than 30 years of dedicated operation, TBS Group has fulfilled its mission of creating stable employment for many people. We regard our human resources as a source of pride and honor for the company—a valuable asset and a powerful weapon for the development of not only our enterprise but also the Vietnamese industry as a whole. We are committed to encouraging and supporting training programs to affirm Vietnamese intelligence on the international stage.
Starting from a small factory in Binh Duong with just a sewing workshop and a pressing workshop, today TBS Group has firmly established its position as a leading manufacturing enterprise with major partners such as Skechers, Decathlon, Wolverine in the footwear sector, and Coach, Lancaster, Tory Burch in the bag industry, as well as Damco, APL, DHL, and Geodis in logistics. This success is not only that of an individual or a business but also a triumph for the national industry.
